School Supply Collection

New Horizon will be collecting school supplies for Family Resource Day being held at Salt & Light on Saturday, August 9th from 10am-noon.

Beginning July 13th thru August 3rd we are seeking your help in collecting --

 50 -- New backpacks any size, solid colors

 500 – Packs of loose leaf paper

 750 – Erasers

 1000 – Blue or Black Pens

Donated items can be placed in the box marked School Supplies, located in the area between kitchen & bathrooms.

Ways for Small Groups to Serve ­ Locally

Food Pantry Delivery

Contact Mike Mueller to arrange a delivery to a family in need. Food deliveries can be made any day or time as determined by your group. Nonperishable items are taken from the NH Food Pantry. Funds for perishable items would be provided by your group. Your group would then do the shopping and make the delivery.

Empty Tomb

Clothing room or furniture delivery help needed Saturdays from 9am –noon. Prepare clothing room for visitors, sorting & hanging clothing & putting out other items. Furniture delivery involves transporting items to homes.

Champaign County Christian Health Center

The Christian Health Center is looking for groups who would like to provide a meal for 8-10 adults who volunteer at the clinic on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursdays. This would involve dropping off prepared food at the clinic in disposable containers. If you would like to help, contact Jackie Hamlett .

Rides

Help those without transportation have the opportunity to worship at New Horizon on Sundays. We are looking for volunteers to pick up people for 9:45 or 11:10 Services & take them home afterward. For more information, contact Donna Battershell.
