Do you remember what its like to be fifteen? Those of you older than fifteen will remember it quite well. I sure do. I had gone through a huge growth spurt and was extremely clumsy. I couldn’t balance well. Trying to walk up and down stairs became and life threatening experience for me! When you are fifteen, growth happens in the most unexpected ways. Life is awkward.

Then there is this “behind the wheel” thing that happens when they finally let you learn to drive a car. Whose idea was that? I couldn’t even walk in a straight line and yet they were letting me drive a car!

Fifteen is funny. Fifteen is scary, sometimes painful and many times overwhelming. Fifteen is awesome.

Well, the same thing is true as a church. Fifteen is an interesting age with times of awkwardness and awesomeness.

As we celebrate fifteen years of being a church, we can identify with all the things that go along with the age. Even though our journey made be awkward and scary at times, it is also an incredible journey with God. Seeing His hand at work here at New Horizon is nothing short of awesome!

So…let’s celebrate God’s love for us!
