While God is all trustworthy, all situations and people are not. Our aim is to keep your child safe during their experiences with us. Listed below are a few of our security procedures:
Our first line of security is open eyes. From those greeting in the parking lot to those on staff to those who serve in Adventureland the security of our children is a top priority.
Secondly, those who serve with children in any way are required to complete an application, interview, reference check and criminal background check. They are also required to attend an Adventureland orientation and training.
Third, for the children, during your first few visits your child will be given a visitor name tag and ID card. You will be asked if there are any special considerations such as food allergies and custody issues that need to be shared with your child’s teacher. The ID card you will be issued while checking in must be returned to your child’s teacher in order to pick up your child.
Then when you decide New Horizon is going to be your church you can complete a registration form for your child at the sign-in tables in Adventureland. The following week a permanent name tag and ID card will be issued to you and your child to be used to drop off and pick up your child from that point on.
Other security measures are in place, but for the safety of our children we are going to refrain from publishing them here. (We knew you would understand.)
