Administrative Team

All of the serving opportunities with the Administrative Ministry Team are by nomination only.  A person serving on the following teams must be a member of New Horizon.  All our leaders strive to be actively engaged in their Christian spiritual development in order to give a proper leadership perspective with their responsibilities to New Horizon.                    

Leadership

Members of this team prayerfully seek God's guidance to make the fiscal, administrative and ministry decisions that govern the ministry of New Horizon in our daily and long term mission.  This team meets to discuss and consider proposals by discerning the alignment of the proposal to ministry mission, fiscal stewardship, and administrative and ministry resources.  As part of this responsibility the team also develops, approves and monitors the results of New Horizon's annual budget.

Staff Parish Personnel

Members of this team are responsible for the human resource aspects for New Horizon.  This team engages in biblical and theological reflections on the primary mission and ministries of New Horizon, and the role and work of the Pastor(s) and staff as they carry out their leadership responsibilities towards this mission. The committee assists the Pastor(s) and staff in assessing their gifts and setting priorities for leadership and service.  This team serves as a liaison between the congregation and the Pastor(s) and staff.

Financial

Members of this team are responsible for the financial integrity of New Horizon through proper accounting and reporting.

 

Board of Trustees

Members of this team oversee the updating, maintenance and repair of the New Horizon building and campus.

Lay Members to Annual Conference

New Horizon lay (non-paid church)  members are elected during New Horizon’s yearly charge conference to represent New Horizon at the Illinois Great Rivers Annual Conference.
